Trap Catches Identified to July 10, 2020.
Aphid vector numbers remain low to this point, however, with small grains maturing, we expect to see grain aphids moving into potato fields soon. Trap capture overall was very low with few aphids being recovered in traps. Three of the reporting sites did capture potato aphids, which are a significant vector, so keep an eye out for these long-legged, big aphids. We haven't yet seen Green Peach Aphids but we often recover those later in the summer.

If you have a field where Colorado Potato Beetle aren’t being controlled by insecticides, please let us know. We’d like to get samples of that population to test for insecticide resistance. Contact Ian MacRae at 218-280-9887.
As always, keep on scouting!
